CENTUM, a developer of mobile phone detection systems and other mission-critical airborne solutions, has confirmed that it has entered into a partnership with Helisul Engineering, part of leading Latin American helicopter operator Helisul Group.
This collaboration represents a solid step in CENTUM’s international growth strategy, expanding its reach to over 20 countries and building on shared goals for innovation and service excellence.
CENTUM’s Lifeseeker family of cellular detector devices allows emergency personnel, first responders and SAR (search and rescue) teams to easily locate victims and missing persons, vastly improving the odds of success during time-critical operations. The cellphone-agnostic devices can perform high-accuracy phone geolocation down to less than five meters, working under all possible network conditions – including 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G (NSA) – and even when there is no network coverage at all.
The system is available in three different form factors, including a SWaP (size, weight and power)-optimized payload designed specifically for drone-based deployment.
With over 52 years of experience, Helisul operates a fleet of 80 aircraft, 26 hangars, and 15 bases across Latin America. The company offers a wide range of aviation services, including aeromedical transport, aircraft maintenance, and cutting-edge projects in eVTOL and drone technology.
Together, CENTUM and Helisul aim to enhance mission-critical operations by leveraging CENTUM’s cutting-edge solutions for applications such as search and rescue missions, emergency communications, border surveillance, and law enforcement. This partnership combines CENTUM’s technological expertise with Helisul’s extensive operational network to deliver reliable, tailored solutions to meet the specific demands of these sectors.
Javier Chamorro, President of CENTUM, commented: “This partnership reflects our commitment to working with trusted and experienced partners who share our vision of providing reliable solutions for complex challenges. Helisul brings deep regional knowledge and operational expertise that will complement CENTUM’s technology and broaden the impact of our systems.”
Humberto Biesuz, CEO of Helisul, noted: “Helisul consistently strives to be at the forefront, making partner selection crucial. CENTUM’s technology enhances our operations, enabling us to provide more comprehensive solutions to our customers, particularly in public safety.”
