AML Oceanographic has expanded its international service footprint with the opening of a new European Calibration and Service Facility located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The expansion is designed to enhance the lifecycle support of the company’s equipment by providing a localized hub for the European Union market. This facility joins an existing global after-sale recalibration network that includes locations in Canada, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Australia.
The Amsterdam site is equipped to handle the company’s full suite of sensors and provides comprehensive servicing for its instrumentation product line. Technical capabilities at the facility mirror those of the primary in-house service centers, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, general repairs, part replacement, and sensor calibration. While the facility manages the majority of the product line, the company noted that its Canadian offices remain the sole contact for the service and repair of Moving Vessel Profiler (MVP) systems.
The establishment of a physical presence in the Netherlands was driven by feedback from the European market. By increasing proximity to regional distributors and clients, the company expects to drastically decrease lead times, expenses, and other logistical complications associated with servicing equipment from outside the region.
The company said the expansion supports its commitment to providing customers with lifecycle support throughout the operational lifespan of its equipment, while maintaining its internal standards for rapid technical support and communication.
The organization confirmed that pricing and shipping instructions for service requests will remain consistent with established global protocols. Direct support for the European facility has been established through a dedicated regional telephone line and service email address.
