RF ConnectivityElsight has confirmed that it has won a strategic public tender, issued by the Israeli Police, for supply of the company’s Halo carrier-agnostic AI-powered connectivity solution. Halo uses proprietary bonding technology to deliver secure high-bandwidth real-time connectivity with the utmost reliability, and is ideal for a wide range of platforms including drones and unmanned vehicles.

The tender, which has been issued for a period of one year with a four-year extension period, provides Elsight with the ability to supply the Police and other departments under the Ministry of National Security of the Government of Israel (such as the Israeli National Prison Authority, the Israeli National Fire and Rescue Authority, and Police Special Forces) with a platform for Communications On-The-Move (COTM).

The tender allows for across-the-board Halo purchasing by all units of Israeli police, making Halo’s unparalleled connection confidence available to units such as the Israeli Border Patrol, Israeli Police Drone Unit, Israel Police K9 unit, Israeli Police SWAT Team and other units within the Israeli Police, along with other departments within the Israeli Ministry of National Security.

Elsight and the Israeli Police have been working together since 2017, with various units within the Israeli Police using the Halo for audio, video and data transmission on tactical missions and ongoing security missions throughout Israel. This tender took several years to be concluded and followed extensive testing in the field by Israeli Police.
The successful outcome is expected to lead to an increase in the number of Halo units ordered each year by the Israeli Police. In 2022, the Israeli Police ordered and implemented the use of dozens of Halo units by forces in the field, with that number now expected to grow significantly in 2023, 2024 and beyond.

Yoav Amitai, CEO of Elsight, commented: “Winning this public tender over the competition and after years of successful collaboration is something we are very proud of. The connection between Elsight and the Israeli Police is a strong one, and this tender will allow the connection to grow even stronger. We look forward to working with our current partners within the various units of the Israeli Police as well as potential new partners within the various departments of the Ministry of National Security of Israel, showing them the benefits of the Elsight Halo and what it means to operate with absolute connection confidence.”
