SBG Systems inertial sensorsSBG Systems has released firmware updates for the company’s Ellipse, Ekinox and Apogee inertial systems, its Navsight motion and navigation solutions, and its Quanta georeferencing solutions for UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) and UGV (unmanned ground vehicle) mapping systems. The updates include the following new features and enhancements:

Ekinox, Apogee, Navsight and Quanta Firmware Update version 3.1

  • New motion profiles for autonomous trucks
  • Real-time heave behavior and accuracy improved in shallow water
  • Datalogger improved with a clearer file layout and black box operation mode
  • Qinertia PPK workflow simplified with INS settings automatically read
  • Algorithms refined for improved performance in harsh environments

Ellipse Series Firmware Update version 1.9

  • Latest world magnetic model to cover the 2020 to 2025 time frame
  • Improved UTC and PPS time management to better cope with noisy PPS signals
  • Reduced alignment time with online lever arms estimation management
  • New automotive CAN output provides vehicle frame velocities, slip angle and turn radius
