Teledyne FLIR’s SkyRanger R70 Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) has been significantly enhanced through the integration of Doodle Labs’ NM-915-2G Mesh Rider Radio, delivering a resilient 900 MHz communication link optimized for mission-critical operations.
This upgrade provides the long-range, low-latency connectivity required to support the R70’s expanding portfolio of demanding applications.
The SkyRanger R70 is built around a modular architecture that accommodates a wide range of payloads for surveillance, reconnaissance, and search and rescue missions. As operators increasingly relied on real-time HD video and high-volume telemetry, communication systems faced growing challenges in maintaining stable links across complex and contested environments.
After evaluating multiple technologies, Teledyne FLIR selected Doodle Labs’ transceiver for its proven ability to deliver robust range, high throughput, and reliable performance in harsh conditions, all within a compact form factor suited to the R70 airframe. The 900 MHz solution offers strong penetration and extended connectivity, ensuring uninterrupted data flow during critical operations.
Field testing validated the system’s ability to sustain high data rates with minimal latency, significantly improving situational awareness and mission success. With this integration, the SkyRanger R70 now offers enhanced operational resilience and extended communications performance.
