DA 30-MCCS Brushless Actuator

The Volz Servos DA 30-MCCS actuator builds on the proven DA 30 series, providing a high-performance configuration with robust mechanical design and reliable electronic control. It uses a brushless DC motor and contactless, wear-free position sensor to ensure long service life, high power delivery, and minimal electromagnetic emissions. This configuration offers dependable operation in demanding UAV and aerospace environments where precision and endurance are essential.

The actuator’s housing is machined from saltwater-resistant aluminum, HART-coated for corrosion protection, and sealed to IP67 standards for dust and water resistance. Brackets are integrated for horizontal and vertical installation. The internal design incorporates an eight-stage, ball-bearing-supported steel gear train and an ANSI multi-tooth drive shaft. Control interfaces include standard PWM with either galvanically isolated (opto-coupled) or single-ended CMOS connections, as well as an RS-485 serial communication interface that provides position and diagnostic data including voltage, current, and temperature. Optional features include redundant RS-485 operation, RS-422-level PWM compatibility, and internal humidity sensing for RS-485 versions.
