DA 30-HT-MCCS Brushless Actuator

The Volz Servos DA 30-HT-MCCS actuator extends the proven DA 30 series with a high-torque configuration that delivers increased continuous output while maintaining compact dimensions and long operational life. It employs a brushless DC motor and contactless position sensor to eliminate mechanical wear, reduce electromagnetic emissions, and ensure stable performance in demanding UAV and aerospace environments.

The actuator’s housing is machined from saltwater-resistant aluminum, treated with a HART coating, and sealed to IP67 standards for dust and water protection. Integrated brackets allow both horizontal and vertical installation. Inside, an eight-stage, ball-bearing-supported steel gear train provides robust torque transmission through an ANSI multi-tooth drive shaft. The actuator supports PWM control with galvanically isolated (opto-coupled) and single-ended CMOS interfaces, both of which allow servo parameter configuration. RS-485 communication is available for digital command input and diagnostic reporting, providing feedback on shaft position, supply voltage, current consumption, and internal temperature, with optional humidity monitoring.
