DA 30-HT-D-MCCS Redundant Actuator

The Volz Servos DA 30-HT-D-MCCS actuator is a high-torque, fully redundant actuator designed for applications requiring maximum operational reliability. Its two-channel design allows continued operation even if one channel fails, ensuring uninterrupted performance in safety-critical systems. Each primary subsystem including the electric motors, control and communication electronics, and power supply is duplicated to maintain full functionality under fault conditions.

The actuator’s position sensing assembly features a three-channel layout that applies a two-out-of-three voting principle for accurate and fault-tolerant position feedback. Integrated sensors continuously measure current draw, supply voltage, and internal temperature. These diagnostic values are analyzed in real time by the actuator’s dual microcontrollers, and complete system health information is available through the redundant RS-485 interface. The DA 30-HT-D-MCCS supports both standard and degraded operational modes, allowing controlled operation even in partial redundancy scenarios.
