DA 30-D Redundant Actuator

The Volz Servos DA 30-D actuator is a fully redundant unit engineered for control systems that require the highest level of operational reliability. Its two-channel architecture enables uninterrupted operation even in the event of a single-channel failure. All key subsystems, including the electric motors, control and communication electronics, and power supply circuits, are duplicated to maintain functionality.

The actuator’s position sensor features a three-channel configuration utilizing a two-out-of-three voting system to ensure accurate and fault-tolerant signal processing. Integrated sensors continuously monitor current draw, voltage levels, and internal temperature. Each microcontroller independently diagnoses component health, while system status and diagnostic information are accessible through the redundant RS-485 interface. The DA 30-D is designed for long-term operation in safety-critical UAV and aerospace environments where continuous availability and system integrity are essential.
