The Volz Servos DA 30-D-MCCS actuator is a fully redundant model developed for systems where continuous operation and fault tolerance are essential. Its dual-channel architecture allows the actuator to maintain function even if one channel fails, ensuring uninterrupted performance in critical control applications. All key subsystems including electric motors, control and communication electronics, and power supply circuits are implemented redundantly to meet the highest reliability standards.
The position sensing system features a three-channel configuration using a two-out-of-three voting method for accurate, fault-tolerant feedback. Integrated sensors monitor key parameters such as current consumption, supply voltage, and internal temperature. The actuator’s microcontrollers continuously perform self-diagnosis of all major components, with health and diagnostic data available via the redundant RS-485 interface. The DA 30-D-MCCS operates in both standard and degraded modes, allowing continued functionality under partial failure conditions.
