DA 22 Actuator

The Volz Servos DA 22 actuator series is available in two housing formats: a short version for compact installations and a long version for applications requiring greater continuous torque. The CNC-machined, sealed enclosures are made from saltwater-resistant aluminum and comply with IP67 standards for dust and water protection. The housings also provide EMI and RFI shielding, ensuring stable operation in electrically demanding environments.
The shorter DA 22-12-2615 design is lightweight and compact, making it well suited for smaller UAVs where installation space is limited and moderate continuous torque is sufficient, such as on ailerons or flaps. The longer DA 22-12-4112 version provides higher continuous torque capacity, making it ideal for fixed-wing aircraft functions that involve greater mechanical loads, including control surfaces and landing gear retraction.

All DA 22 actuators feature all-steel gear trains, are fully programmable, and include motor overload protection and a fail-safe position mode. Integrated M8 round male connectors are standard, with optional MIL-specified connectors or cable gland options. Optional configurations include the ISS gear protection system, extended travel up to 330°, position feedback devices, RS-485 communication, and customized housings.
