The Volz Servos DA 15-T actuator is a compact fly-by-wire actuator designed for direct installation on the throttle valve shaft of combustion engines. This configuration removes the need for rudder linkages or Bowden cables, reducing installation time, space, and overall system weight. The actuator is fully programmable using Volz’s PC configuration tool, allowing users to set idle and full throttle positions, which are automatically assigned to feedback signal values. This enables replacement or recalibration of the actuator without modification to the engine control unit.
Constructed from saltwater-resistant, HART-coated aluminum, the DA 15-T meets IP67 standards for dust and water protection. The brushless DC motor and contactless position detection ensure long service life and resistance to vibration. An integrated mounting bracket allows direct flanging to the throttle valve shaft. The actuator includes a shielded aviation-grade connection cable and is designed for use in elevated temperature environments using extended temperature range components.
