The Volz Servos DA 14-N actuator is the successor to the DA 14 and represents the company’s smallest and lightest full brushless actuator. Designed for long-term reliability in UAV applications, it incorporates an aluminum housing, steel gear train, and a contactless, wear-free position sensing system. This configuration eliminates mechanical wear and improves resistance to vibration and shock loads, extending the actuator’s operational life beyond 500 hours.
The DA 14-N is equipped with a standard PWM interface and is fully programmable. Its brushless DC motor technology removes the electromagnetic interference typically associated with brushed motors while improving service life and efficiency. The saltwater-resistant, HART-coated aluminum housing provides excellent protection against corrosion and electromagnetic effects. Integrated software functions allow user-configurable motor current limits and overload protection, supporting reliable operation across demanding uncrewed air system environments.
