FireLight™ is an adaptive software solution that provides ultra-low-latency and low-bandwidth video encoding and transmission for drone and robotics operations as well as a variety of other mission-critical and tactical applications. Utilizing sophisticated bandwidth management, it dynamically adapts encoding according to network conditions, working at bitrates of down to 1kbps and all the way up to full HD. The versatile system is suitable for use over cellular, SATCOM, RF or mesh networks.
All Videosoft FireBird™ video encoders come pre-installed with FireLight™, and the versatile software can also be deployed on a range of other devices. These include lightweight embedded computing platforms such as Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson, as well as rugged Glenair STAR-PAN™ hubs (IV/VI).
The powerful system also includes the unique Total Recall™ intelligent image enhancement feature, which allows you to retrieve high-resolution pixels from selected areas of interest within the low-res stream or entire frames from recordings stored on the gateway, even when the encoded livestream is unable to provide the necessary level of detail. This feature is ideal for recognizing unique aircraft characteristics, registered markings, and other crucial details.
FireLight™ provides FIPS-compliant AES-128 and AES-256 encryption for full protection of sensitive data.
