MagniPhy

MagniPhy from Skyfront is an enclosure and suspension mechanism designed to optimize drone-based magnetometer surveys for geophysical investigation, mineral exploration, and resource development projects. Compatible with third-party magnetometer sensors and a wide range of drone platforms, the system provides a universal attachment solution that improves data collection efficiency while supporting higher-quality magnetic measurements.

The platform is suited to applications including mineral prospecting, orphaned wellhead detection, landmine detection, UXO identification, and other magnetic anomaly surveys where accurate, repeatable data is essential.

MagniPhy combines a vertically oriented sensor configuration with a semi-rigid, multi-jointed suspension rod that helps maintain consistent sensor heading throughout flight. By increasing separation between the magnetometer and the aircraft, the system reduces magnetic interference from the drone while minimizing sensor swinging that can introduce measurement variability. The aerodynamic design reduces instrument motion in higher wind conditions, contributing to improved data quality and lower survey noise.

The rigid attachment architecture also enhances operational safety during low-altitude missions by reducing the potential for snagging vegetation. Designed for efficient field deployment, MagniPhy attaches to the aircraft in approximately two minutes, provides up to eight hours of operation with swappable batteries, and folds into a compact transport case for simplified logistics in remote survey environments.
