BORADAR-100

BORADAR-100 from SAGLAMTEK is a compact FMCW radar altimeter designed to provide continuous altitude measurements for UAVs and other low-altitude autonomous platforms. The sensor covers distances from 0.1 to 100 m and updates measurements at 40 Hz. Ranging accuracy is specified at ±0.1 m between 0.1 and 30 m, increasing to ±1 m from 30 to 100 m. Radar-based sensing supports operation where optical systems can be affected by fog, smoke, dust, or reduced visibility, while the brochure also highlights resistance to environmental interference for stable altitude determination.

Weighing 81 g and measuring 107 × 61 × 21 mm, BORADAR-100 is designed for integration into space- and payload-constrained uncrewed aircraft. It operates from a 5–12 VDC supply, with typical consumption of 1.1 W at 5 VDC and 25°C. UART and CAN communication are supported, including CAN speeds up to 500 kbit/s. The brochure identifies mapping and surveying, agricultural UAV operations, logistics and delivery, firefighting, search and rescue, and power-line inspection among its intended applications.
