EmbIR Gen 3

EmbIR Gen 3 is a Blue UAS-ready and NDAA-compliant uncooled thermal camera purpose-built for integration into small UAVs and compact gimbal payloads. With a form factor of approximately 20 mm cubed and a starting weight of 19 g, it can be seamlessly installed into a wide range of UAS and payload designs. Manufactured in the United States, it has been selected as a winner of the Blue UAS Refresh.

The camera delivers 640 x 480 thermal video through RPX's LightWeaver uncooled VOx imaging technology. Fully shutterless nonuniformity correction is provided as standard, with a mechanical shutter available as an option. Video is provided at 30 fps, and enhanced 2x and 4x digital zoom provides additional magnification of the thermal scene.

Power consumption of less than 1 W from a 3.8 to 5.5 V supply keeps the impact upon flight time and platform performance to a minimum. Output can be delivered through USB 2.0 or serial. RPX can also customize focal length, interfaces and mounting arrangements to suit a wide range of mission requirements.
