HM162

Permabond HM162 is a medium-viscosity anaerobic retaining compound that cures when confined between close-fitting metal parts. The liquid wets the mating surfaces and fills surface irregularities before curing to form a very high-strength, tough bond. It is intended for cylindrical parts and applications requiring chemical and high-temperature resistance.

In drone motors and gearboxes, HM162 is used to retain bearings inside metal housings or on shafts. Its rapid cure and permanent bond help secure cylindrical assemblies exposed to high rotational speeds, repeated mechanical loading and flight vibration.
