Tenum® 640 Orbit™

Tenum® 640 Orbit™ is a compact, uncooled LWIR thermal camera core developed for integration into unmanned air, ground, and maritime systems. Its SWaP-C-focused OEM architecture combines a 10 µm detector with a 640 × 512 format, shutterless operation, and frame rates up to 60 Hz in a 16.4 cc module weighing 28 g. Nominal power consumption is approximately 1.2 W, while thermal sensitivity is rated at <20 mK at room temperature. The camera supports persistent thermal imaging for detection, tracking, navigation, and collision or obstacle avoidance across day, night, and degraded-visibility conditions. On-the-fly non-uniformity correction enables continuous imagery without a mechanical shutter, helping minimize interruption and reducing reliance on moving components. For streamlined OEM integration, Tenum® 640 Orbit™ provides native MIPI connectivity, with optional USB 2.0 support, and compatibility with CSI and CCS. Configurable video options include user-selectable 14-bit or 8-bit white-hot and black-hot formats, fixed 640 × 512 output at 60 Hz, externally controlled frame rates up to 60 Hz, and digital zoom. Multiple field-of-view, interface, and performance configurations allow the core to be matched to platform-specific SWaP requirements, while its MOSA/SOSA-aligned design supports scalable unmanned-system integration. The module also supports export-controlled variants, complies with RoHS and WEEE requirements, and can be paired with an IP67-rated sealed lens.
