LOCTITE® EA 9497 is a two-part, medium-viscosity epoxy adhesive developed for structural bonding where thermal transfer, toughness, and gap filling are required. It is suited to joining metal sheets and electrical components, including assemblies that benefit from efficient heat dissipation. The formulation can fill gaps up to 3 mm (0.11") and provides high compression strength alongside resistance to impact and humidity.
The epoxy withstands service temperatures up to 200°C (392°F) and may be cured at room temperature, with heat, or by induction. LOCTITE® EA 9497 can be used for potting electrical components, bonding metal sheets in heat-transfer applications, and securing Surface Permanent Magnet (SPM) and Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) assemblies.
