UmiX Series

UmiX Series is Exail’s family of ultra-compact Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) developed for demanding UAV, stabilization, targeting, and navigation applications in both civilian and defense environments. Built around Exail’s north-seeking Fiber-Optic Gyroscope (FOG) technology and vibrating quartz accelerometers, the systems deliver highly stable inertial performance in GNSS-denied and high-dynamic operating conditions. Designed for flight control, dead reckoning, image geo-referencing, target designation, missile alignment, and payload stabilization, the UmiX Series combines compact size with navigation-grade accuracy and robust motion sensing capabilities.

Engineered with fully solid-state architecture and plug-and-play integration, the UmiX Series incorporates three precision FOG gyroscopes and three iXal-S vibrating beam accelerometers developed in-house by Exail. The ITAR-free systems provide ultra-low latency, high bandwidth, and stable operation for EO/IR gimbals, LiDAR payloads, designation lasers, and airborne sensor platforms. Available in both civilian and military-oriented variants, the IMUs offer tactical and short-term navigation-grade performance while supporting high-speed maneuvering and stabilization requirements across airborne and ground-based applications.
