Phins Compact C7 INS

Phins Compact C7 is one of Exail’s advanced Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) developed for autonomous underwater vehicles operating in demanding subsea missions that require highly accurate navigation and positioning. Built on Exail’s long-established Fiber-Optic Gyro (FOG) expertise, the compact system delivers precise heading, roll, pitch, speed, and position data while supporting reliable autonomous navigation in GNSS-denied underwater environments. Its low power profile and compact form factor make it suitable for integration into a wide range of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) conducting survey, inspection, and extended-duration underwater operations.

Engineered specifically for subsea applications, Phins Compact C7 combines dedicated underwater navigation algorithms with a genuine strapdown solid-state architecture for dependable performance and simplified vehicle integration. The system shares a scalable architecture and software environment across the Phins Compact Series, enabling consistent deployment on multiple vehicle types while reducing integration complexity and development costs. Open architecture compatibility with third-party sensors and support for common interfaces including Ethernet provide flexibility for manufacturers and operators developing advanced unmanned marine systems.
