Hercules Series

The NDAA-compliant Hercules Series provides a complete hybrid-ready propulsion and power solution for UAVs, combining matched starter generators, electronic engine starters and intelligent power systems. Engineered to work together within ePropelled’s unified architecture, these compact, lightweight technologies help OEMs extend mission endurance and meet demanding onboard electrical requirements. The customizable range is ideal for ISR, inspection, mapping, precision agriculture and public safety platforms.

The starter generator connects directly to the combustion engine through a customizable crankshaft interface, with bearingless configurations available. An electronic engine starter drives the generator during engine start-up. Once the engine reaches operating speed, the intelligent power system converts the generator’s three-phase AC output into regulated DC power for onboard equipment and battery charging. Selected iPS models integrate the engine starter and provide secondary voltage outputs, consolidating several power functions into a single unit.

For applications requiring additional propulsion power, the EESMC6000 operates the SG6000 as a propulsion motor to assist the combustion engine during takeoff, landing and agile maneuvering. Individual Hercules components can also be supplied for independent integration, giving designers flexibility to accommodate different hybrid architectures and platform requirements.
