idME PRO (Remote ID)

idME PRO (Remote ID) is a remote identification device from Aerobits designed to provide compliant electronic identification and situational awareness capabilities for uncrewed aircraft systems. Utilizing both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth broadcast technologies, the module enables drone identification and surveillance functions that can be received by modern mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. The platform supports Wi-Fi Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) and Beacon frames, as well as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and legacy Bluetooth transmissions. Integrated GNSS support includes GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, QZSS, and Galileo constellations, providing the positioning data required for Remote ID broadcasting.

Designed for seamless integration with professional drone platforms, idME PRO connects directly to Pixhawk flight controllers through a JST connector and supports the latest MAVLink protocol with Open Drone ID messages. The module features configurable transmission methods, automatic transmit power adaptation based on the country of operation, and enhanced output power of up to +20 dBm for Wi-Fi and +18 dBm for BLE broadcasts. Additional capabilities include Remote ID signal sniffing over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, low power consumption of approximately 20 mA for lightweight aircraft applications, and AT-command configuration of broadcast parameters such as aircraft identification information and vehicle type. The device has obtained FAA, FCC, and EASA certifications and is designed in accordance with the ASTM F3411 standard, with CE certification pending.
