RPX Technologies will exhibit its EmbIR Gen 3 thermal imaging platform at Commercial UAV Expo, where visitors can see the compact, low-SWaP camera at Booth 1721.
Designed for integration with small UAVs, gimbals, and other space- and weight- constrained systems, EmbIR Gen 3 combines 640 x 480 resolution with a compact architecture intended to minimize the burden placed on the host platform. The U.S.- manufactured camera is Blue UAS Framework Listed and is available in NDAA-compliant configurations.
Compact LWIR Imaging for UAS Integration
EmbIR Gen 3 is a compact 640 x 480 thermal camera designed for mission-critical systems where image quality, size, weight, power, supply and cost are all engineering requirements. The camera is manufactured in the United States, Blue UAS Framework Listed, and available in NDAA-compliant configurations.

RPX has existing U.S. manufacturing capacity to support customer programs from evaluation through higher-volume production. EmbIR was designed for manufacturability and cost-efficient production, giving UAV manufacturers and payload integrators a domestic thermal imaging option that can scale with program demand.
Built for OEM integration
EmbIR Gen 3 uses an uncooled VOx detector with 12 micrometer pixels and provides 30 fps imaging, power consumption below 1 W in shutterless configurations, and weights from 19 g to 75 g depending on configuration. Multiple lens, connector, mount, shutter and video-output options allow the camera to be configured around the host platform rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all payload.
EmbIR Gen 3 is intended for applications including night vision aboard small UAS, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations, target acquisition, lightweight night vision goggles, and thermal weapon sights.
Visitors to Commercial UAV Expo can meet RPX Technologies at Booth 1721 to view EmbIR Gen 3 and discuss configuration options for unmanned aircraft and related systems.
