UMag Solutions is a developer of battle-proven, drone-agnostic magnetic sensing payloads for real-time detection of landmines, naval mines, UXO, submarines and other submerged threats.
Unmanned Systems Technology (UST) is pleased to announce the addition of UMag Solutions to our global supplier ecosystem. Their new supplier profile showcases a range of advanced airborne magnetic sensing systems designed for defense, mine countermeasure and critical infrastructure protection missions on land and at sea.
UMag Solutions’ fully airborne technology enables operators to detect magnetic anomalies without placing personnel in harm’s way. Designed to operate day or night and in turbid environments, the systems can identify targets buried beneath soil, sand or mud, with detections transmitted in real time alongside precise X, Y and Z coordinates. More than 200 systems are currently in operational use.
Key products and capabilities from UMag Solutions include:
V2Mag®: A high-sensitivity airborne magnetic system for land and naval mine detection, humanitarian demining, route clearance and harbour security. Battle-proven since 2023, V2Mag offers ultra-low 0.01 nT system noise, coverage of up to 12 hectares per hour, dual-quantum picoFiRe® technology and NATO STANAG 4817 compliance.
FastMag®: A 2.5 kg high-speed quantum magnetic payload for anti-submarine warfare, open-sea naval mine detection and seabed surveillance. Compatible with multirotor, helicopter and VTOL fixed-wing platforms, FastMag operates at speeds of up to 120 km/h and provides coverage of up to 70 hectares per hour for mine countermeasures and 6,000 hectares per hour for ASW missions.
UMagMission®: An end-to-end software platform for mission planning, execution, automated real-time data processing and advanced target analysis. Fully integrated with UMag Solutions payloads, the software displays detections on a georeferenced map in real time and is designed to make advanced drone magnetic operations accessible to non-specialist operators.
Drone agnostic by design, UMag Solutions’ sensing systems can be integrated with a broad range of unmanned aircraft. Through a network of more than 20 drone partners worldwide, the company supports mission-ready integrations for different operating environments, platform requirements and threat profiles, with options for deployment from both land and ships.
