ZIYAN Technology has successfully completed a real-world flight test of its Grey Whale G1 unmanned helicopter, verifying the platform’s long-range transport capability using an onboard winch system.
During the evaluation, the aircraft carried a 10 kg payload via a winch-based lifting configuration and achieved a verified flight distance of 33 kilometers. Throughout the mission, the team recorded all key performance parameters, including payload stability, flight endurance, and system reliability. This data provides measurable validation of the aircraft’s transport performance under operational conditions.
The winch-based setup allows for flexible payload handling without the requirement for the unmanned helicopter to land. This functionality makes the Grey Whale G1 specifically suited for logistics resupply, emergency delivery, and complex transport missions in constrained or inaccessible environments. Despite the challenges of an external load, the helicopter maintained stable flight performance for the duration of the test.
The Grey Whale G1 is designed to deliver reliable payload endurance in operational environments. This successful test reflects ZIYAN’s focus on field-validated performance, demonstrating system capabilities through real-world missions rather than theoretical specifications.
