BEI Corp will exhibit its Anode-Free Lithium-Metal Battery (AF-LMB) technology at CES 2026, taking place January 6–9, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where the company will be located at Booth #9652.
At the event, BEI plans to introduce its AF-LMB technology as a production-format battery system that is already being used and tested in actual operating environments rather than remaining limited to controlled laboratory demonstrations. The company states that the platform on display reflects performance observed in real systems where reliability, endurance, and temperature resilience are key considerations.
BEI highlights the anode-free structure of the AF-LMB as a contributor to higher gravimetric energy density, alongside consistent high-power delivery across a wide operating temperature range, from very cold to high-temperature conditions. The company also points to a lighter system architecture intended to support longer missions and more responsive operation on UAV and other mission platforms.
Jaehee Hwang, Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) at BEI, commented, “Our AF-LMB uniquely delivers high power and high energy with proven reliability across a wide temperature window, so UAVs accelerate faster and fly farther in all seasons. It’s not just lab data: our battery solution is market-validated, purchased, and tested by 25+ drone manufacturers worldwide.”
At Booth #9652, Visitors Will See:
- Production-format AF-LMB cell and pack samples
- Battery performance data over wide-temperature window and various mission scenarios
- Flight test videos
- Opportunities to talk with BEI about integration concepts and future applications
According to BEI, the AF-LMB is suited to platforms requiring long mission duration, stable output throughout operation, and reliable performance across wide temperature and altitude differences, without requiring major structural changes to existing hardware.
