UXV Technologies and Edge Autonomy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Redwire Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase cooperation in the Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) sector.
This agreement is intended to advance long-range uncrewed aerial capabilities through enhanced interoperability between the companies’ respective technologies. UXV Technologies provides a range of Ground Control Stations (GCS), including the Soldier Robotic Controller (SRoC) series, which features a rugged, modular design and advanced features for optimal operation across various mission profiles. This GCS can be readily integrated into Edge Autonomy’s uncrewed aerial platforms, such as the Stalker UAS.
Steve Adlich, President of Edge Autonomy, said, “Edge Autonomy has proven expertise in long-range, long endurance UAS built with a focus on a modular open systems approach. We are excited to partner with UXV Technologies on the integration of their advanced ground control solutions,” stating that it “will further enhance our intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities.”
The collaboration also aligns with the European Union’s goal of strengthening its defense industrial base through cross-border industrial cooperation. The companies share a commitment to advancing European defense innovation and fostering closer collaboration among leading defense technology providers.
Frederik Bergenfelt Friis, Chief Strategy Officer at UXV Technologies, stated, “We are proud to expand our collaboration with Edge Autonomy to accelerate the delivery of modular, mission-ready, and cost-effective solutions and capabilities to allied forces. This partnership also reflects a strong commitment to strengthening allied interoperability and delivering technologies that support the strategic priorities of NATO and the European Union.”
The MoU was formally signed in Riga, Latvia, during the official Danish-Latvian Industry Days, an event attended by senior industry leaders and government representatives from both Denmark and Latvia.
