2. Partnership Combines Drone Swarms & Situational Awareness to Boost Wildfire Response

Kongsberg Geospatial (KG) and FireSwarm Solutions Inc. (FireSwarm) are partnering to integrate real-time situational awareness with autonomous drone swarm technology, aiming to enhance wildfire suppression and disaster response capabilities.

This collaboration is formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which establishes a framework for the two companies to jointly develop, demonstrate, and market an integrated solution that improves operational readiness in wildfire response and defense logistics.

3. Tulip Tech Enhances Drone Flight Times with Battery Upgrade

Tulip Tech has extended the flight time of the tactical drone DeltaQuad Evo, after recent advances in the company’s battery technology.

In a recent long-distance test, the DeltaQuad Evo flew for 8 hours and 55 seconds, covering a distance of 500 kilometers. Despite heavy rain and crosswinds reaching 22 knots, the DeltaQuad Evo completed its mission with ample battery reserve.

4. Nokia Collaborates with Gremsy to Advance Payload Solutions for Drone-in-a-Box Operations

Nokia has formed a technology partnership with Gremsy, a designer and manufacturer of gimbal and payload systems, to deliver fully integrated payload solutions for Nokia Drone Networks.

This strategic collaboration combines Gremsy’s advanced electro optical and infrared imaging systems with Nokia’s 4G and 5G connected drone-in-a-box platform to enhance mission effectiveness across a wide range of industrial and public safety applications.

5. Autonomous Flight Demonstrated with AW139 Helicopter

Honeywell and Near Earth Autonomy have completed an autonomous flight of a Leonardo AW139 helicopter, advancing the future of uncrewed vertical lift for military logistics.

Conducted in Phoenix, Arizona, the test marks the first time this class of helicopter has flown autonomously without pilot input or remote control, a pivotal achievement under the U.S. Marine Corps Aerial Logistics Connector program.
