At the Autonomous Ship Expo in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Robosys Automation unveiled its latest software autopilot, the VOYAGER AI SMARTPILOT™.
VOYAGER AI SMARTPILOT removes the limitations of traditional hardware autopilots, which typically manage only steering and course. By integrating with propulsion, it provides speed control for single and double inboard engines as well as single, double, triple, and quad outboards.
Developed by Robosys Automation, VOYAGER AI SMARTPILOT is designed to be an intelligent and affordable autopilot solution. It offers effective station keeping and dynamic positioning for small boats operating with both traditional engines and e-propulsion systems.
Whether installed on a newbuild or retrofitted to an existing craft, VOYAGER AI SMARTPILOT provides a fully functioning autopilot solution. It features Speed Control, Heading Hold, Active Loiter, and Course Hold. Options also include Vector Thrusting, Joystick Control, Remote Helm, and Virtual Anchor. The autopilot can be further upgraded with a Charting Application (Chart Plotter) that enables Waypoint Tracking, Route Following, GeoFencing, Obstacle Avoidance, Collision Avoidance, and Track Control, delivering fully autonomous navigation using Robosys’ award-winning VOYAGER AI advanced autonomy suite.
Aditya Nawab, CEO of Robosys Automation, commented, “We are delighted to unveil Robosys’ new intelligent software autopilot, VOYAGER AI SMARTPILOT, which delivers dynamic positioning and station keeping for the growing E-Propulsion market. This new product in the VOYAGER AI suite of maritime software solutions remains true to the Robosys ethos of developing advanced vessel control systems, leading and supporting the evolution of nextgen maritime.”
Robosys’ VOYAGER AI SMARTPILOT is a cost-effective, plug-and-play intelligent pilotage system. Its advanced features, combined with straightforward and economical integration, contribute to extended craft lifespan, safer operating conditions, lower overheads, and improved environmental performance.
