SPH Engineering, in partnership with Radar Systems, Inc., has launched Zond Aero 500 NG, a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) model thought to be the first of its kind and designed for both terrestrial and drone-mounted surveys.

The Zond Aero 500 NG is a fully universal GPR system, capable of seamless operation in both airborne and ground-based modes. This dual-functionality provides enhanced efficiency for diverse applications such as utility scanning, sinkhole detection, and geological surveys.

A major advantage of the Zond Aero line of radars is that they are specifically engineered from the ground up for both terrestrial and airborne applications. While the airborne mode significantly boosts productivity, the system remains ideal for urban environments where ground-based scanning may be more practical.

Cost-Effective and Scalable

Priced competitively with popular terrestrial GPR systems, the Zond Aero 500 NG offers users a scalable solution, allowing them to start with terrestrial surveys and upgrade to airborne capabilities when needed. This flexibility minimizes initial costs while expanding future operational potential.

The new GPR model offers high-quality data collection with advanced electronics and real-time sampling. RTS increases the signal-to-noise ratio, enabling the detection of finer details and deeper anomalies, and providing better-quality insights into subsurface structures. The advanced technology ensures that users receive the most accurate and reliable data, regardless of the survey environment.
