1. Drone ID Integrated with Situational Awareness Solution
Kongsberg Geospatial, the developer of IRIS Terminal, has joined forces with Drone Identification solutions provider Dronetag.
IRIS Terminal is a multi-domain situational awareness solution for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and counter UAS operators. Now in its 2nd generation, IRIS Terminal has evolved from a defense-oriented system to an enterprise system for visualization of airspace traffic in beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) UAS and C-UAS use cases.
2. UAVOS Demonstrates Medical Deliveries with Unmanned Helicopter
UAVOS has demonstrated multiple applications for healthcare related drone delivery services. Deliveries have been conducted using the UVH 170 unmanned helicopter with a 10kg external payload.
The demonstration served as an important starting point to illustrate the feasibility and impact of BVLOS medical drone deliveries. These enhance speed, connectivity, and safety in the delivery of supplies to remote and hard-to-reach areas. UAVOS has also successfully demonstrated the ability to transport temperature-controlled medical supplies tests.
3. In-Air Data Collection Completed with Centaur Optionally Piloted Aircraft
Aurora Flight Sciences has carried out flight testing with its Centaur optionally piloted aircraft (OPA), based on a certified twin-engine general aviation aircraft.
Centaur is equipped with an EO/IR camera, maritime surveillance radar, and Automatic Identification System payloads. The aircraft boasts a high degree of safety and redundancy, along with a long range, efficiency, and low life-cycle costs.
4. Accelerated Generative AI Development with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin-Based Edge Computer
Advantech has confirmed that it has successfully demonstrated generative AI using the company’s MIC-733-AO edge computing system, based on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin platform.
This demonstration shows that AI developers can benefit from greater immediacy, enhanced security, and reduced internet costs compared to cloud-based generative AI. The generative AI models from the Jetson AI lab offers a free foundational AI model, enabling customization and significantly reducing development time with the MIC-733-AO Edge Generative AI System.
5. Acecore Introduces New Quadcopter Variant for Military Applications
Acecore has introduced the Zoe M4, a variant of the company’s portable and foldable quadcopter platform that has been specifically designed to provide a rapidly-deployable overwatch capability for military personnel and units.
Easy to transport and set up, it is ideal for security, ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) and emergency response applications.
The Zoe M4 is equipped with the NextVision Raptor X80, a military-grade EO/IR gimbal that provides stabilized daytime and night-time imagery with 80x zoom and a thermal imaging resolution of 1280Ă—720.
