1. New York Leads North America in Safe Drone Operations Amidst Commercial Traffic
The Central New York State region, an area encompassing the city of Syracuse and its surroundings, is emerging as a world-class epicenter for innovation in Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
The area has one of seven Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) designated test sites, a 240-mile Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) testing corridor and AAM capabilities that are at the leading edge of this growing industry. SYR is home to the first of its kind NUAIR Center of Excellence at SYR, where UAS technologies can be tested and developed in the regional commercial airspace.

Skydio has begun delivery of its first X10Ds, the company’s new flagship drone for defense and government applications, to customers across the U.S. and Allied Nations.
This follows the success of its predecessor the X2D, which is a defense drone of choice for U.S. and allied government customers with thousands of systems delivered.

Phenix’s strategic collaboration with Helitak marks a significant milestone in UAS firefighting technology, reaffirming their dedication to delivering top-tier quality and innovation in mission equipment for their Ultra 2XL.
4. New Rugged Embedded & GPU Computers for UGVs & Robotics
Neousys Technology is expanding its SEMIL family of ruggedized computing systems with the introduction of the IP69K-rated SEMIL-2000 series.
In addition to supporting Intel 14th/ 13th/ 12th-Gen LGA1700 processors, the SEMIL-2000 series also includes a variant that supports the NVIDIA L4 GPU. All models can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C.
5. Internal Testing of Heavy-Lift Helicopter Rotor Blades
UAVOS has extended its string of successes in developing a two-blade rotor for installation on helicopters with up to 140kg take-off mass and rotor blade diameter of 3200mm.
