Neousys IP69K rugged computersNeousys Technology is expanding its SEMIL family of ruggedized computing systems with the introduction of the IP69K-rated SEMIL-2000 series. In addition to supporting Intel 14th/ 13th/ 12th-Gen LGA1700 processors, the SEMIL-2000 series also includes a variant that supports the NVIDIA L4 GPU. All models can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C. The SEMIL-2000 series features a corrosion-proof stainless steel and aluminum chassis, IP69K waterproof certification, and compliance with MIL-STD-810H shock/ vibration standards in dusty, humid, and corrosive environments, making it ideal for autonomous vehicles, UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles), and robotic systems operating in harsh conditions.

Two form factors, SEMIL-2000GC for 2U 19″ and SEMIL-2000 for 2U 19″ half-rack with rack-mount or wall-mount options, are available, both incorporating Neousys’ dedicated thermal design and IP69K-rated mechanisms. Extensively tested, these computers can operate up to 70°C under 100% load with minimal CPU throttling and can withstand high-pressure 80°C water jets from various angles. This resilience makes them suitable for applications ranging from freezing temperatures of -40°C to scorching highs of 70°C, in humid, dusty, and salt-laden environments.

To facilitate advanced edge AI applications, the SEMIL-2000GC integrates an NVIDIA L4 GPU, which can enable AI inference computation for autonomous ability, or recognition systems for object identification or motion detection, and provide decision-making capability at the edge with real-time analysis.

Designed for vehicle deployments, the SEMIL-2000 series features a DC input range of 8V to 48V with ignition power control and reverse polarity protection, M12 connectors, and compliance with MIL-STD-810H standards for reliable operation in shock and vibration environments. In terms of connectivity, the series supports seven Ethernet ports, including two 10GbE, one GbE, and four 2.5GbE PoE+, all via M12 X-coded connectors. Additionally, SEMIL-2000 supports two USB3.2 Gen1 Type-C with DP alternative mode, providing versatility for connecting with monitors or USB3 output through Neousys’ dedicated cable.

Brian Hsieh, Product Manager at Neousys Technology, commented: “SEMIL-2000 series marks Neousys’ first IP69K waterproof-rated computer, purposefully designed for the most stringent environmental applications, and excelling in wide-temperature operation, shock and corrosion resistance. With support for NVIDIA’s L4 GPU, it propels the realization of AI applications into extreme environments.”
