In this video, Sabrobotix walk through the LIZARD, their long-range, heavy-payload helicopter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platform, highlighting its quick-disassembly design for transport.
The walkthrough shows how key components, including the main rotor blades, tail boom and landing gear, can be removed or repositioned rapidly to allow the aircraft to fit inside a transport box. The rotor blades detach via a push-release mechanism, while the tail boom can be disassembled quickly and the landing gear adjusted to reduce the system’s overall footprint.
The video also demonstrates one battery mounted on each side of the airframe, both of which can be removed quickly, as well as a quick-release camera mounting system designed to enable fast payload removal.
