In this video, Xer Technologies and TP Aviation Inspections present the Xer X8, a hybrid-powered BVLOS drone platform designed to support end-to-end inspection of critical infrastructure, from mission planning through to the capture of survey-grade data for operational decision-making.
The film shows how the X8 supports extended inspection missions with more than 2.5 hours of flight time while powering the payload, and how its quick-deploy design allows operators to launch in minutes and change payloads in under a minute, enabling RGB, LiDAR, and OGI sensors to be used within a single deployment. This allows substantially more assets to be inspected in a single flight compared to conventional electric UAVs, including long powerline routes and pipeline corridors.
Across a range of infrastructure inspection scenarios, the video highlights how the X8 adapts to different mission requirements while capturing consistent, survey-grade data, and reflects the collaboration between Xer Technologies and TP Aviation Inspections in demonstrating the platform’s role in long-range, high-endurance BVLOS operations.
