Aurora Flight Science’s Centaur Hardware-In-The-Loop Simulator (HILSim) provides a controlled environment for testing, refining, and validating new flight technologies before they are introduced to flight.
The system features a complete Centaur airframe with the same hardware and software as the optionally piloted aircraft, enabling ground-based testing prior to flight.
Engineers use HILSim to develop, implement, and perform tests that validate new flight technologies, with aircraft systems such as landing gear and articulating surfaces operating as they would in flight. Once proven on the ground, technologies transition to Aurora’s Centaur optionally piloted aircraft for flight testing, supporting a streamlined development process.
