ZIYAN Tech is advancing maritime logistics and safety through the deployment of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) designed for offshore transportation operations.

This initiative aims to address the persistent issues of high expense and inefficiency associated with traditional helicopter and vessel-based supply methods, which often struggle with the demanding conditions of the open sea.

Grey Whale G1: Transforming Offshore Transport Operations

At the center of this advancement is the Grey Whale G1 Transport UAV Helicopter, specifically developed to overcome the constraints of standard drones in offshore applications. Featuring a wind resistance rating of Level 8, the G1 is built to operate reliably in strong wind conditions, which are common at sea.

The system’s rugged design supports a maximum payload of 15 kg and provides a communication range of 30 km, enabling extended operations. The full-load endurance of 40 minutes makes the Grey Whale G1 well-suited for intensive transport missions.

Key functions of the Grey Whale G1 include round-trip transport between platforms over 10 km and precision delivery of 10 kg of cargo, allowing for fast and accurate movement of materials. These features are especially important for emergency supply situations, helping to cut down response times and improve logistical efficiency.

Real-World Testing: Platform-to-Platform Transportation

Early data from trial runs focused on inter-platform transportation demonstrate the strong performance of the Grey Whale G1:

These findings confirm the system’s ability to maintain effective delivery even under harsh wind conditions, ensuring consistent supply operations. With its ease of deployment, reduced operating costs, and reliable performance, the Grey Whale G1 is expected to significantly lower logistics expenses across offshore platforms.

F15 UAV Helicopter: Supporting Offshore Inspections

The F15 UAV helicopter is being used for essential inspection tasks, supporting both safety and operational effectiveness offshore. Outfitted with a tri-sensor camera system and a megaphone, the F15 delivers wide-ranging surveillance capabilities. Its 10x optical zoom allows operators to observe detailed elements such as personnel gear and operational activities with clarity, ensuring thorough inspection.

In addition to visual monitoring, the F15 can deliver real-time audio messages to communicate safety alerts, directly supporting offshore safety protocols. The UAV is also capable of conducting pipeline inspections and identifying critical issues such as oil spills or unauthorized vessels, offering a proactive approach to both environmental monitoring and infrastructure security.

F15 Specifications:

  • Endurance: 100 minutes
  • Wind resistance: Level 8
  • Maximum payload: 5 kg
  • Maximum communication range: 48 km

With its durable construction and integrated capabilities, the F15 provides a key tool in supporting the safety and functionality of offshore infrastructure.

Enhancing Offshore Operations & Energy Activities

The expanded use of these unmanned aerial vehicles, both for logistics and inspection purposes, is set to significantly reshape how offshore platforms operate. By improving emergency response speed, lowering operational costs, and strengthening safety oversight, ZIYAN UAVs are delivering efficient and intelligent solutions for offshore energy development.
