Over the past two years, Sagetech Avionics has forged key collaborations that demonstrate its ability to drive innovation in aerospace safety.
Notable partnerships include agreements with Aero SoluStax to distribute Sagetech’s products in the Indian market, as well as with Capital Aircraft Services to enhance urban air mobility (UAM) and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) integration in Australia.
These efforts are complemented by collaborations with Joby Aviation and Elsight, focusing on expanding the role of Detect and Avoid (DAA) systems in both eVTOL operations and beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) missions.
Through these alliances, Sagetech continues to contribute to the growing ecosystem of autonomous and manned aircraft operations.
Aero SoluStax Partnership – July 2024
Sagetech Avionics appointed Aero SoluStax as the official reseller for its products in the Indian avionics market. Aero SoluStax, a Mumbai based business, offers products and services to accelerate the safety culture within the growing UAS UAM sectors.
Both companies have a shared vision of creating safer skies utilizing the most innovative technology available today. Aero SoluStax is focusing on selling Sagetech’s transponder and collision avoidance solutions to both the Defense and Civil/ Commercial entities. Learn more >>
CAPAIR Named Authorized Reseller – May 2024
Sagetech Avionics partnered with Capital Aircraft Services (CAPAIR) to leverage Sagetech’s solutions within the UAM, AMM, and UAS industries to advance autonomy and UAS integration in the Australian market.
As the reseller for Sagetech Avionics in Australia, CAPAIR focuses on selling Sagetech’s product suite of air safety solutions, such as the MX12B transponder, MXS Mode S transponder, and ACAS X DAA software. Read more >>
Joby Collaboration – April 2024
Sagetech partnered with Joby Aviation to study the role of on-board piloted DAA in support of Joby’s proposed enhanced Visual Flight Rules (eVFR) operations. The goal of the joint effort was to certify a DAA solution that meets the needs of Part 135 eVTOL operations and supports any aircraft that would benefit from operating under eVFR.
The eVFR operations provide earlier warnings of impending close encounters with nearby aircraft and provide maneuver guidance to avoid close encounters entirely, even when the pilot cannot see the neighboring aircraft. Find out more >>
Elsight Integration – May 2023
Sagetech successfully integrated its ACAS X-based DAA system with the Elsight Halo drone connectivity platform. This integration was designed for aircraft seeking type certification/airworthiness with beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) concept operations (CONOPS). Collaborating on an ACAS X-based DAA system with Elsight around customer requirements aimed to create a faster, more reliable, certifiable solution.
The DAA/ACAS integration with the Halo tests included multiple flights to gather data and validate the technology needed to safeguard future BVLOS missions. Data gathered was shared with the FAA’s TCAS Program Office for validating the models used to create the ACAS X collision avoidance algorithms. Learn more >>
A-techSYN Partnership – March 2023
Sagetech formed a partnership with A-techSYN to offer the Sagetech MX Product family, including the TSO certified MXS, ADS-B in/out and DoD AIMS Certified MX12B Mode 5 IFF transponders, as part of A-techSYN’s CGT50 VTOL UAV ecosystem.
The CGT50 VTOL UAV was enhanced with Sagetech’s onboard Automated Collision Avoidance System (ACAS) large fixed-wing UAVs DAA processor, enabling increased situational awareness and safety.
In addition to the integration, A-techSYN became a Sagetech Licensed Reseller in Ireland, offering the XP Series, MX Series, and ACAS X-based DAA to other OEMs in the region. Read more >>
