Ruggmate offers a range of ruggedized and waterproof USB keyboards designed for integration into Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and unmanned systems Ground Control Stations (GCS), as well as supporting hardware platforms for drones and robotic vehicles.
Engineered to operate reliably in harsh military environments on land and at sea, the keyboards combine durable construction, ergonomic and tactile design, and a range of customization options.
The company’s rugged keyboards have successfully passed MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 tests. The panel-mounted units feature enhanced corrosion resistance and can be supplied with either machine or sheet metal construction.
This robust design also makes them suitable for use beyond defense, including petroleum, mineral exploration, industrial and medical sectors, due to their reliable, robust and long-lasting features.
Ruggmate’s keyboards offer mechanical snap feedback and are built to endure a lifetime usage of 500,000 actuations. They can be integrated with auxiliary input devices such as trackpads, trackballs and Force Sensing Resistor (FSR) pointers, and offer a range of customization options including layout, color and connectors.
The product family includes several models with varying key counts, integrated input devices and backlighting options:
- RSK-01: Features 113 keys and is integrated with an FSR pointer and mouse buttons. Weighs 572 g and does not include a dimmable backlight.
- RSK-02: Provides 88 keys with an FSR pointer and mouse buttons. Weighs 550 g and includes a dimmable backlight.
- RSK-03: Offers 81 keys with no integrated auxiliary input device. Weighs 450 g and includes a dimmable backlight.
- RSNK-04: Includes 18 keys, weighs 250 g and features a dimmable backlight.
- RSTK-01: Equipped with 100 keys and a 50 mm trackball with mouse buttons. Weighs 1750 g and includes a dimmable backlight.
- RSTK-07: Features 81 keys and a 5-inch touchpad. Weighs 1100 g and includes a dimmable backlight.
