Beyond Vision details the capabilities of beXStream, a centralized, cloud-based software platform developed to support the command and control of autonomous vehicles as operations become more complex, distance-based, and time-critical.
Through a single interface, users can plan, monitor, execute, and review missions, with cloud computing and 5G connectivity helping to address traditional constraints involving range, infrastructure, and the need for an on-site presence.
Accessible through a browser using authentication credentials, beXStream supports centralized monitoring of multiple vehicles and smart cameras, real-time video streaming and storage, remote mission execution and review, and scalable fleet management. The platform also supports 5G-enabled devices and smart cameras, enabling Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations in regions where permitted by law.
Cloud-Based Vehicle Control & Mission Management
The Mission Builder provides an interactive map interface for creating missions with waypoints or survey areas, importing previously exported missions, and assigning missions to specific vehicles. Missions can be executed immediately or scheduled for a selected date and time, while mission progress and key telemetry remain available during execution. Mission planning should always be performed by experienced operators who understand the vehicle’s autonomy, range, and battery limitations.
Mapping, Data Analysis & beXStream HereLink
The Maps section enables users to create RGB or multispectral mapping projects and upload captured imagery for analysis and visualization. Its tools support distance, height, and volume measurement; height profiling for UAVs and other aerial vehicles; point cloud coloring using RGBA camera data or elevation-based coloring when imagery is unavailable; filters for focused point source analysis; and positioning tools for precise spatial alignment.
These capabilities can support infrastructure inspection, terrain and elevation analysis, environmental monitoring, fire prevention, and 3D modeling of buildings and large areas. Additional beXStream functionality includes real-time video streaming with cloud storage and sharing options, a video wall for multi-stream monitoring, role-based access control for managing user permissions within large organizations, and APIs for third-party integrations.
Beyond Vision also provides beXStream HereLink, an Android application designed to transform the Herelink controller into a Ground Control Station (GCS) through beXStream. The application connects manual piloting with autonomous capabilities, allowing operators to conduct manual flights or plan missions using waypoints and automated survey grids. A unified interface provides real-time HD video streaming alongside payload control for the gimbal and camera directly from the handheld device.
Future Development of beXStream
Looking ahead to 2026, Beyond Vision plans to continue developing beXStream within its ecosystem of autonomous systems, platforms, and mission technologies, with the platform evolving as a command-and-control platform aligned with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR).
Planned developments include multi-vehicle coordination, advanced AI analytics, mission correlation and automated reporting, centralized telemetry repositories, centralized maintenance records, predictive maintenance capabilities, and improved interoperability aligned with NATO standards. These developments are intended to further support defense, public safety, industrial, and commercial drone operations.
