Compact 4K IP video encoding system

The ZCube-21™ from Z³ Technology is a compact H.265/HEVC, H.264 and MJPEG encoder system built for portable video-over-IP workflows. It accepts 4K video at up to 30 fps, as well as 1080p and 720p sources at up to 60 fps, and converts incoming HDMI video into network streams delivered through Gigabit Ethernet. Locking HDMI input and output connections support secure source and monitor attachment, while integrated USB 3.1, microphone-level audio input, RS-232 and configurable serial I/O broaden connectivity. Power can be supplied from 7.5–16 VDC or through IEEE 802.3af PoE, helping reduce cabling requirements in compact installations.

The encoder can process H.265/HEVC and H.264 simultaneously, with support for RTP, RTSP, MPEG-2 TS, RTMP, RTMPS and SRT output. Up to three streams can be transmitted at once, with resolution limits dependent on stream count: 2160p30 for one stream, 1080p60 per stream for two, or 1080p30 per stream for three. Streaming and recording can operate concurrently, with recording available to USB storage or a Network File System. Configuration and control options include an HTTP/HTTPS web GUI with live video preview, API access, ONVIF, SSH and serial control. SRT operation includes Caller Sender and Rendezvous modes plus SRT encryption, while additional cyber-secure features are available. The manufacturer identifies security and surveillance, military, medical and customized deployments among the supported application areas.
