Compact IP video encoder for portable streaming and recording

The Q603-SC from Z³ Technology is a compact H.265/HEVC and H.264 encoder built to convert 3G-SDI, composite, or digital video sources into IP video delivered through Gigabit Ethernet. It supports resolutions through 1080p at 60 fps and provides RTP, RTSP, MPEG-2 TS, RTMP, and RTMPS output formats. Video can be streamed while recording concurrently to a Network File System, USB storage, or a Micro SD card. An HDMI output enables local video monitoring, while integrated interfaces include audio input, USB 3.1, RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485. The datasheet also specifies PoE-enabled Ethernet and support for H.265, H.264, and MJPEG codecs.

Operation can be managed through an HTTP/HTTPS web interface with live preview, Serial/SSH access, an API, or ONVIF, with Profile S and T compliance provided for interoperable video-system integration. The Q603-SC can pass VISCA camera-control commands across IP networks and supports Pelco D and absolute PTZ positioning. Additional onboard processing enables video overlays, GPS or NTP information, timestamps, and KLV data through overlays or SEI data. SRT operation includes Caller, Sender, and Rendezvous modes together with SRT encryption, while simultaneous streaming and recording supports deployments requiring both live transmission and retained footage.
