KIV-79 IFF Mode 5
The KIV-79 is a low-SWaP (size, weight and power) crypto appliqué module that provides NSA-certified cryptographic capabilities for Mark XIIA Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Mode 5 transponders. The compact NSA Type 1 product is designed for Secret and below interrogator and transponder functions, and is ideal for a wide range of UAV platforms.
The rugged MIL-STD-810G-rated module is fully programmable and software-upgradeable, and features a field-replaceable battery that offers a lifetime of over 7 years.
