Fetch AZA is an advanced seabed monitoring instrument that provides high-resolution, long-duration pressure measurements for both scientific and commercial ocean applications. Using a self-calibrating design, it eliminates long-term drift common to conventional sensors, ensuring stable, repeatable data over deployments lasting up to ten years. A precision reference sensor, isolated from ambient pressure, enables in-situ calibration by periodically cycling the primary sensor from seabed pressure to near-zero, maintaining accuracy to within a millibar. This system delivers time-stamped, high-integrity data that supports a wide range of oceanographic studies, from tectonic and deformation monitoring to environmental and hydrocarbon field assessments.
Compatible with Sonardyne’s 6G communications platform, Fetch AZA integrates with USBL systems, modems, and additional subsea sensors for temperature, sound velocity, and inclination. Its low power consumption, neutral buoyancy, and optional anti-trawl frame make it suitable for deep-water deployment and easy recovery. Data can be harvested remotely via USVs, reducing operational cost and environmental impact. Available in 3,000 m and 6,000 m depth-rated models, Fetch AZA combines precision, endurance, and autonomy to deliver long-term seabed monitoring for research, energy, and environmental programs.
