The SIMPULSE GRS-T300 Tracking Antenna extends the operating reach of an SL300-R-equipped UAV radio link, supporting HD video and data transmission beyond 140 km, with stated capability up to 200 km. Positioned at the ground control station, the system tracks the aircraft using received RF power, GPS coordinates, or a combination of both. Two omnidirectional antennas and two directional antennas provide the radio interface, with the directional elements automatically orienting toward the UAV. The integrated SL300-R modem brings software-defined radio technology, high receiver sensitivity, multiple logical links, increased RF output, and optional anti-jamming functionality to long-range airborne communications.
Designed for transport and field setup, the GRS-T300 folds from an operating footprint of 110 × 35 × 30 cm to 50 × 30 × 20 cm and weighs 9 kg. Its data connection supports rates up to 10 Mbps, while standard operation covers 2.3–2.7 GHz, with 4.5–5 GHz available upon request. Adaptive Frequency Hopping provides the specified anti-jamming capability, while analysis tools assist with assessment of link behavior during operation. The combination of automatic LOS tracking, secure communications, high sensitivity, and extended transmission distance makes the GRS-T300 a dedicated ground-side solution for long-range UAV video, telemetry, and data links.
