BORADAR-Y from SAGLAMTEK is a proximity-sensing radar developed for obstacle detection on UAVs, robotic systems, and autonomous platforms. It monitors a 112° horizontal sector with a 15° elevation angle, supplying target, sector, and point-cloud data for integration with host control systems. Up to five valid zones can be configured, while UART, RS485, and CAN connectivity provides several routes for exchanging sensor data and configuration commands.
The sensor operates from a 9–24 VDC supply and draws 1.2 W under the brochure's typical specification. Its enclosure measures 84.0 × 55.6 × 13.1 mm and connects through a 10-wire cable, supporting installation where available space and electrical load are constrained. The brochure identifies UAV obstacle avoidance, autonomous ground vehicles, AGV/AMR systems, industrial robotics, smart machinery, and mobile robots as application areas.
