The KAMU 900mm SXGA 10µm thermal camera is engineered to simplify integration while delivering long-range infrared imaging for unmanned systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), and security applications. The system combines Ophir's continuous-zoom MWIR f/4 optics with a high-resolution 1280 × 1024 SXGA cooled detector, advanced onboard video processing, and an integration-ready architecture that supports rapid platform onboarding. A lens-centric development approach, backed by decades of optical engineering and high-volume manufacturing expertise, places the primary performance driver—the optics—at the center of the design, helping OEMs reduce engineering effort while achieving dependable imaging performance.

Designed for demanding operational environments, the camera maintains stable boresight and line-of-sight (LOS) retention throughout its continuous optical zoom range while minimizing image distortion across the field of view. The system provides multiple digital video interfaces, including HDMI, HD-SDI, and H.264/H.265 streaming, together with Ethernet and RS422 control for straightforward integration into unmanned aircraft and other autonomous platforms. Available in both open-frame and enclosed configurations, the KAMU 900mm supports advanced calibration functions, rugged environmental protection, and MIL-STD-810 qualification to meet the requirements of defense and security OEM programs.
