VersaWave is a satellite communications system designed to meet the unique requirements of small unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operators. Based on Inmarsat’s SwiftBroadband L-band services, it is the smallest and lightest UAV SATCOM solution available on the market.
The powerful system features high-speed broadband capabilities with speeds of up to 200kbps, providing small UAVs with the connectivity capabilities of much larger commercial and military platforms. Aircraft can send video and data from cameras and payloads beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), and users can receive this data in real time and operate the vehicles from almost anywhere in the world.
The VersaWave SATCOM system is ideal for enabling a wide range of advanced long-range UAV mission profiles, including real-time surveillance, industrial inspection, homeland security, emergency response, and more.
